For Hyundai Motor, the 2016's IAA Commercial Vehicles show was the perfect opportunity to unveil its light commercial hydrogen fuel cell vehicle – the H350 Fuel Cell Concept.
Hyundai believes in hydrogen quite a bit, calling the concept “a glimpse into the future of the LCV“.
Depending on the configuration option, the H350 can be build as a 14-seat passenger vehicle, or as a light delivery van.
Whether the H350 really is the future, or rather it is a something more like the all-electric van like the recently debuted by Volkswagen – the e-Crafter only time will tell, but we strongly believe more in the plug-in model, given its deeper infrastructure, and the rapidly advancing nature of the tech that is bringing costs down (and abilities up) more quickly.
Quick specs:
- 422 km range on 7.05 kg of compressed hydrogen at 700-bar
- 100 kW (136 ps) uel cell stack and 100 kW electric motor
- Depending on wheelbase, the H350 provides 10.5 m3 or 12.9 m3 space – sufficient to accommodate five standard European pallets – or room for a 14-seat passenger compartment
- 24 kW lithium-polymer battery output
- top speed of 150 km/h
