Lise Winther is VP Production, Global Plants in Yara International where she is responsible for Project development of a variety of projects within Yara. She has been responsible for developing the low carbon ammonia projects in Yara, including the green ammonia pilot project in Norway, Porsgrunn and the CCS project in the Netherlands, Sluiskil, started- up in summer 2026.
Before joining Yara in 2016, Lise came from Royal Dutch Shell as head of Cleaner Production, Shell Technology Norway. In the past she has held several managerial positions in oil and energy companies. Lise holds a MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology and an additional grade in Strategic Management from the Norwegian School of Economics.
